Get to Know Amplitude’s New Class of Artists

If you’ve ever played the original “Amplitude” on the PlayStation 2 back in 2003, then you already know that the main stars of the game are the widely diverse bands that populated its soundtrack. This included the guitar ripping sounds of Weezer’s “Dope Nose,” Slipknot’s hard metal inclusion of “I Am Hated,” and Logan 7’s electronica dance mix “Uptown Saturday Night.” You can hear the original soundtrack here.

11 years later, Harmonix proposed to reboot the game through a Kickstarter campaign  and launched it on May 14, 2014. After the 18-day funding period passed, the campaign surpassed its goal of $775,000, reaching $844,127 thanks to its 14,112 backers.
